By submitting an Entry, you understand that you are submitting your information to Sponsor. By entering the Promotion, each entrant waives, discharges and releases Meta, Instagram and TikTok from any and all liability associated with the Promotion. HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Entry Period, you must (i) have an active and non-protected Instagram account or sign up for a free Instagram account at www.instagram.com or have a non-protected TikTok account or sign up for a free TikTok account at www.tiktok.com; (ii) record a video or take a photograph of your dog, if there is interaction with and/or eating a treat it must be a Pup-Peroni treat and (iii) post the video or photograph on Instagram.com or Tiktok.com using the hashtag #BestPup_Contestand the social media handles @pupperoni and @walmart during the Promotion Entry Period and (iv) tell us why your Pup is the Best of the Best in a sentence and you will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Promotion (i, ii, iii and iv individually defined as “Entry” and collectively defined as “Entries”). Limit one (1) Entry per person during the Promotion Entry Period regardless of the number of Instagram accounts or TikTok accounts he/she uses. Duplicate Entries or multiple Entries made by an Entrant in excess of the number allowed will be disqualified. All Entries must be in English and all Entries must be no more than 300MB in size and submitted in one of the following formats: MP4, MOV and JPEG. All Entries must use the designated hashtag #BestPup_Contest and the required social media handles @pupperoni and @walmart to qualify as an Entry. Any Entry that does not include the designated hashtag or the required social media handles will be deemed void. Use of AI, automated entry or similar devices as defined herein but not limited to, aggregator sites and or provided links, or contracted services, which are used to participate, “game” or subvert the Entry process is prohibited and all postings submitted or otherwise effectuated through such devices are void and will not be honored in any way.
ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: Entries may not contain, as determined by Sponsor’s sole discretion, any Entry that:
Entry may not have won a previous award, prize or contest; may not have been published previously; and the use of the Entry by Sponsor as outlined herein must not infringe upon any other person’s rights. Entries that include any of the Entry Restrictions stated herein will be disqualified. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and none will be acknowledged or returned.
Company names, trademarks and/or logos other than those owned by Sponsor, (for which Sponsor has granted entrant a limited license to use for purposes of submitting an Entry in this Promotion as set forth above,), photographs, copyrighted music, artwork, other copyrighted materials (collectively, “Third Party Intellectual Property”) may not be included in any Entry submitted. Any Entry submitted that includes any Third Party Intellectual Property (example: Entrant is wearing branded merchandise with a proprietary brand logo or includes copyrighted music) may be disqualified if such use is deemed inappropriate, impermissible or illegal, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Promotion, or whom Sponsor believes to be causing malfunction, error, disruption or damage will be disqualified. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify entries made through robotic, automatic, mechanical, programmed or similar entry duplication method, or entries made through any third-party website, and to disqualify any individual using such a method.
By submitting an Entry, each Entrant: 1) irrevocably grants Sponsor a royalty-free exclusive license throughout the world to use, re-use, copy, publish, republish in whole or in part, edit, add to, modify, and rearrange the Entry in whatever media, including without limitation edit, rearrange, and/or copy the Entry for use in the promotion of Sponsor’s products and services, without further permission, consideration or payment to the Entrant, except where prohibited; 2) warrants and represents that, the Entry is entirely the original creation/work of the Entrant and that use of the Entry as described herein will not violate any law or infringe upon the rights, title, claim or interest of any third party; and 3) certifies that the Entrant is the creator and sole copyright owner of the Entry. Further, all Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and must have consented to the submission of the Entry into this Promotion.
Sponsor and its parent and the Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical, hardware, or software malfunctions of any network or telephone lines, failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications whether caused by the sender or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Promotion, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer or other electronic equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or Entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion, unavailable network connections on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to Entrant’s or any other person’s computer or other electronic device relating to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or uploading/downloading any materials in connection with this Promotion. DETERMINATION OF THE GRAND PRIZE WINNER: The grand prize winner will be selected from among all Entries received at any time between 03/18/2026 and 04/15/2026 at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All Entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges, including representatives of the Sponsor, and one (1) grand prize winner (“Grand Prize Winner”) will be determined based upon highest point total awarded using the following criteria: (i) Creativity/Originality (0-50 points); and (ii) Fun/Entertaining (0-50 points) (i and ii, collectively “Grand Prize Judging Criteria”). In the event of a tie, the Entries involved in the tie will be re-judged by an additional judge who will serve as a tiebreaker and who will evaluate Entries according to the Grand Prize Judging Criteria listed above. Decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all matters.
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: One (1) Winner will receive (i) the opportunity to have his/her dog temporarily featured on a Pup-Peroni package exclusively sold at Walmart stores in the (48) contiguous United States; (ii) one (1) Spa Session and one (1) Grooming Session at a Dog Spa nearest Grand Prize Winner’s residence designated by Sponsor; (iii) five thousand dollar ($5,000) Walmart Gift Card; (v) year supply of Pup-Peroni Treats (physical product to be shipped to the Grand Prize winner); and (vi) one (1) Pup-Peroni Best of the Best Medal (ii, iii, iv, v and vi, collectively, “Grand Prize”). The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: up to $5,800. Grand Prize Winner must send photo(s) of his/her dog with no other humans or objects included within twenty-four (24) hours of winner notification to the Contest Administrator. In the event the Grand Prize Winner does not send photo(s) within twenty-four (24) hours of notification, the Grand Prize Winner will be disqualified and the next highest scoring Entry based on the Grand Prize Judging Criteria may be deemed the Grand Prize Winner. Sponsor has the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify the photo(s) in any way, in commerce, and in any and all media worldwide now known or hereinafter invented, without time limitation and without further consideration to Grand Prize Winner. Grand Prize Winner acknowledges and agrees that he/she will have no creative or financial involvement or input in the production of Pup-Peroni package exclusively sold at Walmart stores in the (48) contiguous United States and will not receive any initial or residual payment or compensation for such package production. These Official Rules do not constitute an employment agreement. The number of packages and package size of the Pup-Peroni Treats for the year supply will depend upon the size of the winning dog due to feeding guidelines. Grand Prize Winner may be required to participate in one (1) photo shoot with his/her dog at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
DETERMINATION OF UP TO FIVE (5) CATEGORY WINNERS: The category prize winners will be selected from among all Entries received during the entire Promotion Entry Period. Eligible Entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges, including representatives of the Sponsor, and up to five (5) category prize winners (each a
“Category Prize Winner”) will be selected based on the Entry that earned the highest Creativity/Originality score (“Category Prize Judging Criteria”) in each of five (5) prize categories as follows: (i) Best Sit/Stay position; (ii) Best Taste Tester; (iii) Best Zoomies; (iv) Best Puppy Eyes; and (v) Best Nom Nom Nom-er (i, ii, iii, iv and v, each a “Prize Category”). A total of up to five (5) Category Winners will be selected. In the event of a tie, the Entries involved in the tie will be re-judged by an additional judge who will serve as a tiebreaker and who will evaluate Entries according to the Category Prize Judging Criteria listed above. In the event an insufficient number of eligible Entries are received (as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion), less than five (5) Category Entries will be selected, or this Promotion, at the sole discretion of the Sponsor, may be cancelled or the Sponsor may take such other actions as it deems reasonable in the circumstances to award the Category Prizes. Decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all matters.
UP TO FIVE (5) CATEGORY PRIZES: Up to five (5) Category Winners will each receive (i) year supply of Pup-Peroni Treats (physical product to be shipped to the Category Winners); (ii) dollars a one thousand dollar ($1,000) Walmart gift card; and (iii) one (1) Pup-Peroni Best of the Best Medal (i, ii and iii, each a “Category Prize”). The ARV of each Category Prize: $1,300. The number of packages and package size of the Pup-Peroni Treats will depend upon the size of the winning dog due to feeding guidelines.
TOTAL ARV OF ALL PRIZES: UP TO $12,300. LIMIT ONE (1) PRIZE PER HOUSEHOLD.
PRIZE WINNER NOTIFICATION: Sponsor and/or one of the Released Parties will attempt to notify the Grand Prize Winner and each Category Prize Winner via Instagram or TikTok message, and if applicable, email. Each potential Prize Winner will be required to provide Sponsor or one of the Released Parties with a valid email address within twenty-four (24) hours from date and time of the winner notification or potential Prize Winner will be disqualified. Sponsor will make two (2) attempts to notify potential Prize Winner within the first twenty-four (24) hour period after the initial winner notification. In the event the potential Prize Winner does not respond to any such prize notification within twenty-four (24) hours of the date of issuance, a disqualification will result, and the prize will be forfeited, and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, the prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring Entry based on the corresponding Judging Criteria stated herein. Grand Prize Winner will be required to adhere to the photography guidelines provided at the time of the Grand Prize Winner notification or he/she will be disqualified. Sponsor shall have no liability for any Prize Winner notification that is lost, intercepted or not received by the potential prize winner for any reason. The potential Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability, and where permitted, a Publicity Release and provide photo(s) of his/her dog with no other humans or objects included within twenty-four (24) hours from date of issuance. The potential Category Prize Winners will each be required to sign and return a Prize Verification Form, and where permitted, a Publicity Release within five (5) business days from the date of issuance. Non-compliance by any Prize Winner will result in disqualification of that Prize and that Prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring Entry. By signing and returning an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release or a Prize Verification Form and Publicity Release, each Prize Winner agrees to the use of his/her Entry, name, voice/lyrics, hometown and/or likeness/photograph for promotional, advertising and/or publicity purposes in any media, known or hereafter invented throughout the world in perpetuity, without further notice or compensation. Grand Prize Winner must agree to a criminal and personal social media background investigation during the notification and winner verification process. In the event the criminal background investigation consists of any criminal record, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify the Grand Prize Winner. In the event the Grand Prize Winner’s personal social media investigation consists of content found in any social medium that is false or contains misleading claims about Sponsor and its products or services, that defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about Sponsor, its products or services, or other people or companies; or communicates any message or image that is inconsistent with Sponsor’s positive image and/or good will with which Sponsor wishes to associate or contains content that violates any rule, law or regulation, the Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify that Grand Prize Winner.
GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, to substitute any Prize item of equal or greater value in the event that a Prize item is unavailable. Failure to submit any identification required by Sponsor or to return the required documents within the specified time period, noncompliance with these Official Rules or the return of the Prize (or any portion thereof) or prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture and, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, that prize may be awarded to the next highest scoring Entry. Weekly Prizes will be delivered within thirty (30) days following the completion of the Winner notification process. By entering this Promotion, all Entrants agree to release, hold harmless and indemnify the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, judges, and each of their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees or representatives from and against any and all liability whatsoever for any injuries, losses, harm, damage (including but not limited to property damage, personal injury and/or death), claims, actions, costs and expenses (including without limitation, all attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with any Prize or resulting from participation in this Promotion or from acceptance, possession or use/misuse of any Prize or participation in any Prize-related activity or use by Sponsor of the Entry in any manner. Submission of an Entry and acceptance of any Prize will constitute and signify the Entrants agreement and consent (or that of a parent or legal guardian if Entrant is an eligible minor under applicable law) that the Sponsor and/or the Sponsor’s assignees may use the Entrant’s name, photograph, likeness and/or Prize information for promotional purposes in commerce and in all media worldwide now known or hereinafter developed without time limitation and without further compensation, except where prohibited. Prize Winners are solely responsible for any local, state, or federal taxes on Prize received. Grand Prize Winner will be required to provide Social Security number to Sponsor or its designated agent for tax reporting purposes and will be issued a 1099 form for the value of the prize. Cash substitution on any Prize is not allowed. Prizes cannot be transferred, bartered or sold. Sponsor does not make, nor in any manner is responsible or liable for any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize including but not limited to its quality, fitness for purpose or mechanical condition. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, terminate, or suspend the Promotion or void any Entry should a virus, bug, non-authorized human intervention, action of an Entrant or other cause corrupt or impair the administration, security or fairness of this Promotion.
If, for any reason, this Promotion is not capable of running as planned by any cause which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, or if due to any technical, production or other error, more prizes are claimed or awarded than are described in these Official Rules at any prize level, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this Promotion and determine the winner from eligible Entries received prior to action taken, or as otherwise deemed fair and equitable by Sponsor. No more than the number of prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. By entering, Entrants agree and consent: (a) that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, Entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with this Promotion, will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of State of Ohio, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, and (b) to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in Cleveland, Ohio.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of an Entrant, such Entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the Instagram account used at the time of entry. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for lost, late, stolen, illegible, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, or non-delivered Entries; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable satellite, network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website or other connections availability, accessibility or traffic congestion, or miscommunications, or failed computer, network, telephone, satellite, or cable hardware, software or lines, or technical failure, or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions, or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network, or the incorrect or inaccurate capture of Entry or other information or the failure to capture, or loss of, any such information. Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Instagram users, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Promotion and assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or tampering with or hacking of Instagram.com. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds may be tampering with the entry process or operation of this Promotion, Instagram.com, may be acting in violation of the terms of Instagram.com or the Official Rules or may be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to threaten, abuse or harass any other person.
